Minggu lalu tengah siang bolong, sekretaris gue si Risma main lempar aja sebuah ‘call’ ke ruangan gue. Miss Judes beraksi kan…
Me : “Siapa Meh?”
Risma : “CNN Mbak Win!”
What? Wait? Who?
Eh beneran lho.
“Hi Ligwina this is Kathy from CNN!”
CNN sedang membuat sebuah liputan tentang… INDONESIA! OMG!
Topik bahasannya seru juga sih tentang female entrepreneurship in Indonesia! Woohoo!
Berikut sedikiiit aja tentang interviewnya yang gue masih inget ya!
Sara : “What is Success?”
Me : “Success is being happy at whatever you do. To me this morning success is not about having CNN coming over. But the feeling of successful is when my kids LOVE the costumes I arranged for them for the Book Week Parade at School. So success is like being inside happiness. Business wise I dont think we’re successful yet coz every year we do something new and the next new thing to do is much better than what we achieve today.”
Sara : “How many jobs do you have?”
Me : “I’m guest speaker at radios & TVs, I write financial articles, public speakers for corporate seminars, I’m a mother, and a wife, I’m also CEO of this company, I’m also a financial planner. Hey that’s 7!” (we laugh together)
Sara : “How do you manage time?”
Me : “I start very early at 4 or 5 then prep kids for school, breakfast at home then go to work around 9 or 10. or sometimes noon. Sometimes I get to the office by 12 but that doesnt mean I dont work. I’d probably finish 6 articles between 8-12. I work on average 14 hours a day. But I’m trying to balance it by having regular free day every now and then. So if I work weekends, Mondays I will be off or working at home or at least go home early. And we do lots of holidays, at least 4 x a year.”
Sara : “What does it take to be young and successful? Long hours?”
Me : “Not really. You gotta find what you’re passionate about. (di sini gue rada blurr karena dia nanya ‘young’… I mean… ‘young’??? wakakakak mamak mamak ini woi!) You need to look back at what you really are and aware about yourself. For example I have been the treasurer of all activities I joined since elementary school. So all my school friends are not surprised I become a financial planner.
When I was in highschool I wrote down in a school magazine that I wanted to become a business woman who works with people’s money. I didnt even know there is this profession of financial planner.
I believe God leaves the clues in our lives. Also… after you find you passion, you need to become great at it. My best friend Rene Suhardono is a career coach and he says “Great money follows great work” I have proof to that!”
Nobody can take the feeling of CNN visit away…
(walopun habis itu ada insiden di DragonFly :p but that’s not important enough for a blog *wink*)
I have so much to be grateful for :) I am just a regular girl who speaks too much and God knows exactly what I need in life.
Thank you CNN team : Sara, Kathy, Charlie, Andy, Nisha For making a fab day for me. Tayang gak tayang, di-interview gitu cukup bikin gue melayang heheheh…
Cheers
