Dita Daradjatun is my old friend from campus. Don calls us The Curtin Finance Geeks. Dulu rumah kami bertetangga di South Perth, sekali2 gw suka dijemput oleh Dita buat ngerjain assignment yg segambreng dari Curtin Business School itu.
Dita juga mengambil jurusan Finance. She now runs several businesses. One of her favourites which she promotes passionately is an excul center called Busy Bee Fun Learning Center @ Jl Biliton No.11 Menteng.
We are both married now and each adopted our husbands’ surnames. Jadi waktu saling menemukan di Facebook, kami sama2 menertawakan surname yang berubah itu. Soalnya jaman kuliah dulu, ogah bener ganti2 nama panjang…
Anyway, here’s a light chat conversation between two mums. Kami gak tahan sama SALE :) this time it’s SALE @ the stockmarket… Of course I got Dita’s approval for publishing it.

This is not a recommendation for the conservatives. Market is acting up lately. So badly that our fave shop (the stock market that is) has to be closed for 2,5 days! Indeks Harga Gabungan sampai2 drop di sekitar 1400an. Bandingkan dengan angka tertinggi di 2800an!
My friend Harry Kurniawan – a director at one of the securities companies texted me,
“Sabar Win. There’s always tomorrow. Banyakin aja dulu pelurunya.”
So here’s what I do. I scratch here and there and discover that I got some spare money in my shopping account. Kalau gak diinvestasikan, uang ini pastilah berubah jadi… tas.
Artinya, ini bener2 uang nganggur yang siap nabrak tembok. I’ll lose it thru shopping anyway. So the last few days while BEI is closed, I’ve been gearing up some cash – standby mode ON.
Monday will be a very exciting day because I am going shopping. Only this time, there will be no bags. I’m aiming for stocks of the best companies in this country. They are on SALE @ 50-75% discount…
